Dental Assistant Career

We’ll Train You so you can receive your Certificate of Completion
in Dental Assisting in just 13 Weeks.
You’ll Gain Skills & Expertise Beyond What Typical Programs Offer

We can provide you with the right training to become a dental assistant. We took three years to put together our Dental Assisting curriculum. We checked out what worked best and improved the program and that is our finished product. Students can earn a certificate of completion to show their future potential employer.

We have students from all over Michigan.  One of those students, Lauri Whitney, said. “Taking my dental class through your school was a great experience for me. It provided me a program that gave me accurate and up to date information regarding dental assisting and various dental procedures. I felt that the training and lab time prepared me for working as a dental assistant in the real world. Your staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend this school to anyone interested in becoming a successful dental assistant.”  Graduates are finding good jobs that are leading to successful careers.

One of the benefits of our school is that students will learn all the information in a classroom setting, and will get more than 50 hours of hands-on training in a local dental office.  Many of the students at the Dental Assistant School of Grand Rapids Area are young and just getting started with a career in the health-care industry.  Others are re-entering the workplace later in life or wish for a career change and are finding great opportunities.  Classes start four times every year, so students can enroll anytime with a new session starting soon.  Classes are usually two nights per week for three hours each time and includes elements in the classroom laboratory and hands-on in a practice.  Students must have a high school diploma or a GED equivalent to qualify to enroll. Upon completion graduates receive a Certificate in Dental Assisting.

In today’s economy, people of all ages are looking for career options.  Programs like this toward a Dental Assistant Career are a viable growth option.  Other programs offer mostly lecture-based training with limited hands-on time, which leaves graduates unprepared for the job market. But with our accelerated program you’ll get hands-on training in absolutely all aspects of Dental Assisting. This kind of experience will put you ahead of your peers.

In other programs, instructors are limited in the amount of attention they can give to a class of 30 or more students but with our program you’ll get personal attention because our classes are limited to 12 students. This means you’ll graduate with the confidence, the skills and the “know-how” to excel in your new career.

I am a strong believer in the Dental Assistant School of Grand Rapids Area curriculum and effectiveness. Take advantage of this opportunity and reserve a spot in our next Dental Assisting class… Email or call (231) 903-0330

Sincerely,
Dr. Christopher Sortman

Dental Assistant – Cure For A Dead End Job?

Dental Assistant is a career option that affords you the opportunity to earn an excellent salary. It even gets better if you live and work in the United States because you can work from any location. As the world’s population grows, so does the demand for dental services. Other than earning good money, there are still several other benefits this career offers.

Dental Assistant

It takes only 13-weeks to for you to become properly trained
How do I know if dental assisting is the right career for me?

I am Dr. Christopher Sortman, and nothing captivates my interest like dentistry. I love teaching and sharing the dental industry with others in a positive way. I have worked for several years as a dentist, and in my years of work, I have met with lots of people that want to toe the same career path as me. Dentistry is something I enjoy teaching to others who really want to make a career out of it.

Most times, the number of qualified dental professionals isn’t enough to meet with the demand for dental service. It is for reason I decided to open the Dental Assistant School of Grand Rapids Area. This is a 13-week dental assisting program in the Lakeside Michigan area. I used my passion and experience in putting together this program. I run this teaching program alongside my private dental practice. Unlike other dental schools, the Dental Assistant School of Grand Rapids Area charges far less than other schools, and can be completed in a very short time of 13-weeks”.

Reports given by the US Department of Labor Statistics, have revealed that the number of qualified dental assistants is very low. This career affords you the opportunity to improve so many lives in more positive ways than you can ever imagine. Even though only a few people know about this career, it has been revealed by The Bureau of Labor Statistics that Dental Assisting ranks third as one of the fastest growing career that doesn’t require a college degree. The good thing about this is that the career opportunity for dental assisting will surpass other careers by the end of 2020.

This is the best career option you can ever consider

So you ask; what is dental assisting? This is a career that requires you working in a Dental Office, providing dental healthcare services to patients. Dental assistants are also charged with other treatment duties.

Dental assisting earns between $12 and $20 every hour. It has been revealed by a survey conducted by The Dental Assisting National Board that the average salary of a dental assistant stands at $31,739

There are also lots of great packages that comes with the career, but that will depend on where you work. Some of them include; sick leave, sponsored education, paid vacation, free medical treatment, 401K pension plan, and bonuses.

There is also solid job security when you work as a dental assistant. The reason for this is that the demand for dental healthcare is always increasing.

Location should never be a challenge for you when looking for a job in the United States.

Are you looking for an exciting new career, one that you can finally be proud of? If you said “YES” then a career, as a Dental Assistant, might be right for you. Don’t wait… Email or call (231) 903-0330 today to reserve a spot in our next Dental Assisting class. Look forward to hearing from you soon!

.Sincerely,
