You’ll Gain Skills & Expertise Beyond What Typical Programs Offer
We can provide you with the right training to become a dental assistant. We took three years to put together our Dental Assisting curriculum. We checked out what worked best and improved the program and that is our finished product. Students can earn a certificate of completion to show their future potential employer.
We have students from all over Michigan. One of those students, Lauri Whitney, said. “Taking my dental class through your school was a great experience for me. It provided me a program that gave me accurate and up to date information regarding dental assisting and various dental procedures. I felt that the training and lab time prepared me for working as a dental assistant in the real world. Your staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend this school to anyone interested in becoming a successful dental assistant.” Graduates are finding good jobs that are leading to successful careers.
One of the benefits of our school is that students will learn all the information in a classroom setting, and will get more than 50 hours of hands-on training in a local dental office. Many of the students at the Dental Assistant School of Grand Rapids Area are young and just getting started with a career in the health-care industry. Others are re-entering the workplace later in life or wish for a career change and are finding great opportunities. Classes start four times every year, so students can enroll anytime with a new session starting soon. Classes are usually two nights per week for three hours each time and includes elements in the classroom laboratory and hands-on in a practice. Students must have a high school diploma or a GED equivalent to qualify to enroll. Upon completion graduates receive a Certificate in Dental Assisting.
In today’s economy, people of all ages are looking for career options. Programs like this toward a Dental Assistant Career are a viable growth option. Other programs offer mostly lecture-based training with limited hands-on time, which leaves graduates unprepared for the job market. But with our accelerated program you’ll get hands-on training in absolutely all aspects of Dental Assisting. This kind of experience will put you ahead of your peers.
In other programs, instructors are limited in the amount of attention they can give to a class of 30 or more students but with our program you’ll get personal attention because our classes are limited to 12 students. This means you’ll graduate with the confidence, the skills and the “know-how” to excel in your new career.
